And since we're getting early reports of the Dervishes' capabilities, don't you think we're going to see swarms of PvE mobs in Nightfall?
Wah! That's a very good observation. Yay giant mobs!!

At least they're not going to bother trying to continually support every new class.

Aha! What I just realized is that a Scythe on the Dervish will probably be the longer type of Scythe like the classic Grim Reaper wields since it says the Dervish has many skills that attack many enemies at once. If that's the case then it will prolly play similar to the spears/glaive type weapon I was hoping for. So though the Paragon has the wrong type of spear for me, the Dervish will be what it's all about. So basically: Yay for me!

Well they should have the ability to create an event account for the PvP weekend like they did last time. You won't get the skills permanently unlocked but if you don't mind that you can try out the new chars without having to lose an old one.

Yep, they do.

/sigh
This means lots of more time trying to get Grandmaster Cartographer and skill capping :/
I dunno. I can't say I'm terribly excited about a class that seems like the embodiment of a Whammo, or a Rit/Earth Ele/Tactics shouts.
And all the new skills dammit

Yeh, they're still in beta it tho so i HOPE they change it.. and give us nice faces unlike those faces they gave for factions, i mean seriously we're supposed to be FIGHTING the afflicted, not being one.. arrgh, all my characters are strictly tyrian born, because i can't stand that and assassin and ritualist weren't enough reason to be canthan born,

[sarcasm]
but on another news new whammo skills for me, but i'll have to replace healing hand with somthing else :'(
[/sarcasm]
:P

Hmm. "Commander" class. Tsk, it should have been a proper "bard" class. Mark my words - increase in idiocy and abuse in public PvE/PvP incoming. As if there aren't enough egotistical people blaming everyone else for when things go wrong already...

yeah... if i like dervish a lot more than my sin i think i'll get rid of him.. no wait i'll get rid of my warrior.

Yeah you can kinda pinpoint on those, like aeromancer gloves i think on the paragon male.

Heck the dervish female looks like a rit :P

Eh no biggy, i just hope they don't change change the male dervish character look much, dying that armor be so awesome, can you imagine that in black or something... awesome

Interesting. Sounds like the Dervish will be inferior to the assassin in single opponent damage, but will be superior in damaging groups of folks. Probably will be much better suited to PvE than in PvP, from an initial glance, but who knows when the skills actually come out.

I can see the Paragon being nicely paired with a Monk or Ritualist primary/secondary. Monk/Paragon for pure support, and a Paragon/Ritualist to create your own army to attack from a distance with.

Although this is a bit stereotyped, I think Guild Wars will have a nice mix with these additions:

Melee-based: Warrior, Assassin, Dervish
Missle-based: Ranger, Elementalist, Necromancer
Support-based: Monk, Ritualist, Paragon, Mesmer

Not a bad frontline, midline, and backline, IMO.
